Description
While I was walking around the outside of the house the other day I noticed that my wildflowers were starting to die back for the winter. The petals were all brown and dried, the centers crumbling. But there was still one flower left, a Black Eyed Susan. It was smaller than it should have been, with darker petals, but it was still standing there, proud as can be, in the small sliver of sunlight that came through the tree above it.

I love this. It's so beautifully done, the weave is perfect. I also love how you related the gem to a flower. I think whenever an artist can get inspired by something, they are able to capture the essence of that in whatever they end up making.
I think you certainly captured the spirit of a little flower standing alone, both beautiful, delicate and proud... and maybe a little bit doomed. Great job!
